As many of you already now Rachael, Lyal and the munchkins have moved to a new part of California. We are grateful that Lyal found work in such a tough economy but are so sad to have them so far away from us now after having them so close for so long.
Jerry considers it one of the great blessings of his life that Rachael and Lyal lived so close for so long and that he had so much time to spend time with Rachael and her sweet family. During the, almost, six years they lived by us, we watched their family grow from 3 to 6. It has been one of the great blessings of my life to have Rachael as a friend and stepdaughter. She is such a great mom, friend and she and Lyal contributed so much to our ward as they fulfilled their callings. I learned so much from Rachael and am so grateful to have had this time to get to know Rachael and her family We are grateful for Lyal and for the hard worker and provider he is. We love him and are grateful he is part of our family.
When I did the final walk through of their house with their landlords' assistants I was caught off guard by how emotional it was to walk through the empty house that they had made their home and that we are so grateful to have spent so much time in. We love you all and miss you so much!
The pictures below were taken when Lyal and Rachael were finishing up their move and cleaning of the house. Needless to say we had a lot more fun than they did that day.
