Jeremy loves horses but up until last Saturday it was only from a distance. We have a lot of toy horses in our house. Jeremy's been on a pony ride but it took some real coaxing from his dad to get him on a full size horse. We may live to regret it....I see a very expensive hobby in our future. I thought the horse fascination was a passing thing but two years later I think it is here to stay. Everyone talks about how expensive girls are but I think it's a toss up.
I still remember the summer my dad sat in a chair in the family room, with stress all over his face, tallying up the bill for two cheerleaders to have uniforms, cheer camp and all that goes with it. I think it was around $2200 dollars for both of us and that was in the late 80's on one income. Raising kids is expensive, no matter the gender, but I am grateful for the sacrifices my parents made to shape our talents, skills and interests and am excited to see where Jeremy's interests continue to develop.
